Now that’s what I’m talking about! Buddy of mine in high school had a 67 Caddy with a 429. God...the torque was magnificent. That giant boat of a car just had authority with that motor. The gas pedal was also gigantic.

I think it got like 6 miles to the gallon in the city and maybe 8 on the highway.

The torque in the higher end cars in the 60s was really nice. I had a 64 Olds with a 394 many years ago. Not really quick but man that thing had that smooth smooth torque.
